I received my bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University in animal science. I have tutored students in elementary, middle, high school, and college for the past seven years. I offer tutoring services in a variety of subject areas, including algebra 1 & 2, calculus 1, elementary math, middle school math, pre-calculus, anatomy, biology, microbiology, physiology, reading, writing, essay editing, algebra 3/4, pre-algebra, math, science, English, and chemistry. I also tutor students in similar AP courses. I work diligently to help my students improve their academic skills and achieve their learning goals. It is my goal for my students to achieve a greater measure of understanding and success with each tutoring session. While getting answers correct and rote memorization are important, I want a deeper level of understanding for my students. I take the time to get to know my students and their unique learning style as well as their academic strengths and weaknesses. With this information I am able to prepare a more engaging and effective program of study that will be personalize for them. There are no two students with exactly the same academic needs, and even the same student's needs will evolve over time and the tutoring sessions must reflect these differences.
