I'm a tutor who is based out of New York City, where I enjoy cooking, competitive swimming, and playing tennis when I'm not in the classroom working with students. I'm a recent graduate of Cornell University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in biological sciences. While in undergrad at Cornell, I also worked as a teacher's assistant in an introductory science course. This gave me the opportunity to lecture a weekly section of 15 undergraduate students, which was a very rewarding experience. Now, I'm working as a private tutor and research assistant. I'm extremely passionate about helping students improve their academic skills. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when a student of mine finally has a breakthrough moment in a subject that they've been struggling with for awhile. To help facilitate these breakthroughs, I get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each of my students. Then, I develop individualized lesson plans that take those weaknesses into account, providing targeted practice to help that student improve where they need it most. This allows the student to get the most they possibly can out of our time together. I'm looking forward to helping you improve your skills and find success.
